As promised, this Wednesday we’re happy to introduce you to another new staff member of Aloha High School. This week, we have Ms. Lepp.
I wanted to work in a place where people believe in their work.
Q: What attracted you to working at Aloha High School? In other words, what set AHS apart from other schools?
A: The people who work here seem like they really cared about their jobs. I wanted to work in a place where people believe in their work.
Q: What do you like most about coming to work every day?
A: Teaching the students.
Q: Have you ever lived anywhere else besides Oregon?
A: I used to live in Brooklyn, NY. It was loud, busy, and much colder than it is here.
Q: What is one word that best describes you?
Q: Do you have any odd or awesome hobbies or talents you’d like to share?
A: I like to rock climb. I’m also training for a half marathon!
Q: Why did you want to become a teacher ?
A: I’m not good at sitting still. Teachers get to have constantly and manage lots of things at once.
Q: What’s the most fulfilling thing about being a teacher?
A: Every single day, I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the world through every student that I connect with.
Q: What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen? This can be something in nature, an exchange between students you’ve heard…
A: In Egypt, I saw the pyramids. They were incredible!
